What colors are Toy Fox Terriers?
Toy Fox Terriers come in five colors. 1. Tri colored – Predominately black head with sharply defined tan markings on cheeks, lips, and eye. More than 50% of its body is white with or without black spots. 2. White, Chocolate and Tan – predominately solid chocolate head with sharply defined tan markings on cheeks, lips and eye dots. Body is more than 50 percent white. 3. White and Tan – predominately tan head. Body is more than 50% white. 4. White and Black – Predominately black head. Body is more than 50% white. Color should be rich and clear. (Blazes are acceptable if white does not touch ears or eyes.) What size is a Toy Fox Terrier? The breed standard of a Toy Fox Terrier can be between 8 ½ inches to 11 ½ inches at the withers or shoulder blades. Nine inches to 11 inches is the preferred size. The weight is not specified but can be between 4 pounds to 12 pounds depending on the bone structure and amount of body fat. Over all, the dog should be square and in proportion to its size. The ears should be erect and pointed by the time it is six months old. The nose should be black unless the color of the dog is chocolate then it must have a chocolate nose. What is the Temperament? The Toy Fox Terrier is intelligent, alert, friendly, and loyal to its owners. He learns new tasks to please, and adapts to almost any situation.
